Bowman-Tucker wedding vows spoken at White Plains Baptist Church

Kayla Suzanne Bowman and Wesley David Tucker were united in marriage on Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. at White Plains Baptist Church. The Rev. David Tucker and the Rev. Bill Tucker officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Robert Jr. and Diane Bowman of Mount Airy. She is the granddaughter of Annie Bowman of Ararat, and the late Betty Battles, Robert Red Bowman and Sammy L. Jones. She is a 2005 graduate of White Plains Christian School and a 2009 graduate of Surry Community College with a degree in early childhood education. She is employed at White Plains Christian School.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Thresa Tucker of Mount Airy. He is the grandson of Bill and Pat Tucker of Mount Airy, Diane Scritchfield and Muriel Huff. He is a 2004 graduate of White Plains Christian School and a 2006 graduate of Surry Community College with a computer engineering degree. He is employed at Little Davids Carpet Store.
Nancy Barney Castle played How Beautiful while Susan Michael sang This Ring and I Cherish the Treasure of You during the wedding.
The brides father sang I Loved Her First just before he gave her in marriage.
She wore a satin-halter A-line gown with beaded lace appliqus and cut-out-lace hem. The back of the dress was accented with a beautiful long chapel train with pearls, rhinestones and sequins. Her elbow-length veil of illusion was attached to a beaded tiara.
The matron of honor was Kristin Maynard, cousin of the bride, of King. The bridesmaids were Kim Bowman, sister-in-law of the bride, of Pilot Mountain; Becky MacMillian of Cana, Va.; Heather Norman of Ararat; and Ashley Tucker, sister of the groom, of Mount Airy.
The flower girls were Cameron Bowman of Ararat and Natalie Jones, cousin of the bride, of Mount Airy. The ring bearer was J.T. Tucker, cousin of the groom, of Mount Airy.
The best man was Cody Tucker, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Robbie Bowman, brother of the bride, of Pilot Mountain; Timmy Tucker, uncle of the groom, of Mount Airy; William Heavy Tucker, cousin of the groom, of Mount Airy; and Chris Tucker, cousin of the groom, of Mount Airy.
Madison Bowman, niece of the bride, was the miniature bride, and Jacob Bowman, nephew of the bride, was the miniature groom.
Robin Horton, aunt of the bride, was the wedding director, and Caleb Horton, cousin of the bride, was the aisle runner attendant.
The reception was held at White Plains Baptist Church Fellowship Hall with the brides parents hosting the occasion.
The rehearsal was held of Sept. 11 with the bridegrooms parents hosting the rehearsal dinner.
The bridal couple spent their honeymoon at Pigeon Forge, Tenn. They reside in Ararat.
