Family pleads for help finding missing man

Friends and family of a Mount Airy man who was reported missing on July 6 said that he has been missing since June, and they are concerned about his whereabouts and his safety.
Joseph Pike, 35, of 203 Badgett Ave., has been missing since June, according to Pikes friend Randle Sawyers. He said he is worried about his friend and hopes he is OK.
According to a report filed with the Surry County Sheriffs Office on July 6, Pike is 5-foot, 3-inches tall, white male with a slim build. He has blue eyes and brown hair.
Pike doesnt own a car and doesnt drive.
He has had back surgery and walks with a unique stride, said Sheriff Graham Atkinson.
The sheriffs office is checking any leads received, and the investigation into Pikes whereabouts is ongoing.
