PILOT MOUNTAIN Mrs. Geneva Arlene Harbour Horsley, 78, of Pilot Mountain, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2009. She was born in Patrick County, Va., on May 31, 1930, to the late James Corley and Nannie Beth Hopkins Harbour. Mrs. Horsley worked as a cook for over 25 years and also worked as a homemaker. Geneva loved her family and her Lord. She was a member of Tru-Way Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Roy Davis Horsley of the home; four daughters and son-in-law, Julie Hall of Pilot Mountain, Jackie Horsley of Mount Airy, Rebecca Branch of Boone and Teresa and Leonard Barnett of King; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Deborah Branch of Madison; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Bertie Bishop of Bassett, Va.; and special friends, Ricky Collins, David Pruitt and Zane and Betty Goins. Mrs. Horsley was preceded in death by her parents; son, R. Dennis Horsley; three sisters, Gertice Hughs, Dovie Turner and Addie Morrison; and two brothers, James Harley and James Earley Harbour. Funeral services will be held at Tru-Way Baptist Church Friday, March 27, 2009, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Darrell Price and the Rev. Ricky Brewer conducting the service with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Tru-Way Baptist Church. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain is assisting the Horsley family.
