Basically, it was a non-conference game, Surry coach Amber Reid said. It was an opportunity for us to work on some things that maybe we need to be a little sharper on. We got to see some versatility in our pitching. Dawn Sisk and Hannah havent pitched much in our season yet.
On Saturday, the Knights (5-7, 1-5) split with host Louisburg in a Region X double header, winning 7-1 the first game and losing by the same score in the second game.
Surry hosts Louisburg next weekend beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, although the games will not count against eithers Region X records.
