MOUNT AIRY Mr. Gerald Douglas Bowlin, 38, of Mount Airy, passed away in Forsyth County Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009. Mr. Bowlin was born in Richmond County, S.C. to Jerry Leslie Bowlin and Karen Hayes Bowlin. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Site Masters Construction in MS. Gerald is survived by his loving and caring mother, Karen Hayes Bowlin of Winston-Salem; his father, Jerry Leslie Bowlin of Clemmons; wonderful grandmother, Nancy Hayes of Mount Airy; wife, Alysa Bowlin; step-daughter, Lyndsay Reppond; stepson, Brandon Reppond, all of Lowgap; loving aunts and uncles, Sheila and Larry Ramey of Lowgap, Susie Wright of Lowgap, George Hayes of Mount Airy and Terry Bowlin of King and Susan Bowlin of Mount Airy; very special cousins Shannon Slate, Zachary Ramey, Amanda Wright and Alan Wright. Gerald loved his little cousins, Luke Ramey, Adam Slate and Nathaniel Hayes; special dog, Dozier. Gerald was preceded in death by his grandfathers, George Wayne Hayes and Leslie Bowlin. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy by the Rev. Sammy Lawson and the Rev. Tony Holder. Burial will follow in Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
