Mount Airy pounds Bishop, 6-1

KERNERSVILLE The Mount Airy girls tennis team made a statement Tuesday with 6-1 win over host Bishop McGuinness.
The Granite Bears (8-1, 7-1 Northwest 1A/2A) and Villains (8-2, 8-2) are two of the top teams in the conference. Mount Airy had already dropped the Villains earlier this season. However, Bishop McGuinness holds a win over North Stokes, which beat Mount Airy.
It was a really good win, Granite Bears coach Scott Kniskern said of Tuesdays win.
