PILOT MOUNTAIN Christian Easter fired seven strong innings and his teammates put together a five-run seventh inning to give the Surry Pride Senior American Legion team a 9-6 victory over visiting Montgomery County Tuesday.
Easter struck out 13 batters to go against three walks. He allowed six hits and three of the four runs that crossed the plate during his tenure were earned.
The seventh-inning offense was provided by Andrew Jessups two-run double and Casey Felts run-scoring single.
Shane Johnson went 2-for-3 and scored twice for the victors. Luke Harris had a pair of hits and RBIs.
Surry (6-10, 6-6 North Division) travels to Thomasville tonight for a make-up game to be played at Ledford High School. The Pride close out the season at home beginning with Thursdays double header against West Forsyth.
