Curves holding 11th annual food drive

First Posted: 3/24/2009

During the month of March, Curves of Mount Airy has been participating in the 11th Annual Curves Food Drive to benefit local food banks.
Collectively, over the past five years, nearly 50 million pounds of food were distributed to local communities all over the world through the Curves Food Drive.
Curves of Mount Airy is also giving back to the community by waiving its normal service fee for any new member who brings in a bag of non-perishable groceries by March 28.
The Curves Food Drive is always exciting, said Sherri Hart, the owner of the Mount Airy club, located at 803 W. Pine St. We have a chance to help so many people at a time when the food banks are lowest. Especially during these uncertain times, this food is needed more than ever. Its a win-win situation for everyone, and were very proud to participate.
Others wishing to donate may drop off non-perishable food items at Curves Monday through Friday during business hours through the end of March. For more information, please call 783 0808.
