North sweeps East to stay unbeaten

The North Surry volleyball team found a feisty opponent in East Surry, but the Greyhounds were still able to pull off the sweep.
The Greyhounds (9-0, 5-0 Northwest 1A/2A) won by scores of 25-13, 25-9 and 25-16, but not everything went perfectly.
I like the win, but we were not as crisp as we should be, North Surry coach Shane Slate said. We had 22 unforced errors in our serving, attacking and setting phases tonight and that is way too many.
Courtney Campbell had a game-high 10 kills, followed by Summer Robertson with seven and Sara Parker with six. Kara Hodges had 21 assists.
Emily Culler served 20 of 20 with a pair of aces. Campbell was 15 of 16 from the service line and also scored two aces.
