MOUNT AIRYMr. Herman Elary Inman, loving father, grandfather and brother, 80, of Mount Airy died Friday, March 27, 2009. He was born Jan. 8, 1929, in Surry County to the late Millard and Kizzie Haymore Inman. Mr. Inman was a retired mechanic in the textile industry and a member of Indian Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include two saughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and husband Dennis Cox of Mount Airy, and Sherry and husband Steve Watts of Statesville; grandchildren Denny and wife Myra Cox; Bryan and wife Sherry Cox, Clark Watts, Michael Watts and Jared Watts; and great-grandchildren Meredith and Avery Cox.Other survivors include two sisters and brother-in-law, Alene Bingman of Mount Airy; Nonnie and husband Walter Arrington, of Mount Airy; and a very special sister, friend and caregiver, Kathleen Davis of Mount Airy. Additional survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and wife Susie Inman of Archdalel Codell Inman of Mount Airy; and a special brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and wife Rachel Inman of Mount Airy; as well as a special niece and husband, Debbie and Jackie Faulkner. In addition to his parents Mr. Inman was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Peele Inman and brothers, Alvin, Media, Vester and Clarence Bill Inman. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 30 at 11 a.m. at Indian Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Tommy Floyd and Rev. Keith Love with interment to follow at Skyline Memory Garden. The family will receive friends on today, March 29, from 6-8 p.m. at Howell Funeral Service of Mount Airy. Mr. Inman will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
