MOUNT AIRY Ms. Delphia Lee Marshall Bowman, 60, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at the Woltz Hospice Home. Ms. Bowman was born in Patrick County, Va., March 25, 1949, to Granville Lee Marshall and Ota Virginia Puckett Marshall Sumner. She was retired from Renfro Corp. and was a member of Doe Run Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina and Robert Bullins of Mount Airy; a son, Sammy Bowman and special friend, Lisa Watkins, of the home; grandchildren, Dustin Lovill, Corbin Bullins and Kirsten Bowman; a sister, Ruth Marshall of Mount Airy; a sister-in-law, Annie Marshall of Ararat, Va.; a brother-in-law, Temple Bowman of Ararat, Va.; her stepfather, Eddie Sumner of Mooresville; and special family, Gladys Boyd, Jerry Bowman, Ann Hall, Eddie Lovill, Frances and Weldon Tobler, Ann Cockerham and Dianne and David Lawson. In addition to her parents, Ms. Bowman was preceded in death by sisters, Clara Bowman, Leatrice Puckett and Uniter Bowman; and brothers, Avery Marshall and Vernie Marshall. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Terry Vaughn and the Rev. Robbie Sizemore. Burial will follow in Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Moody Funeral Home and after the interment service Saturday at 859 Doe Run Road, Ararat, Va.
