Daryl Valentine The senior lineman helped lead the Granite Bears to a 31-14 victory over Bishop McGuinness last Friday with his first career interception. Valentine and the Bears defense shutout the Villains attack in the second half to secure the win.
Ben Hinson The junior quarterback had a hand in three touchdowns for the Bears Friday, including a seven-yard run around left end to regain the lead just seven seconds before half time against Bishop. Hinson finished 9-of-15 passing for 142 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 46-yards on five carries and one score.
Markus Brown The junior running back and defensive lineman helped the Cardinals to a 48-0 win over North Stokes last week. Brown had a breakout game offensively. He finished with 92 yards on nine carries for two scores and helped East limit the Vikings to just 82 total yards.
Hunter Diamont Diamont alone had over 200 yards of total offense against North Stokes last week, leading his team with 112 yards on the ground on 10 carries for three scores, while adding 117 yards passing and one touchdown.
Wes Brown The big freshman registered 173 all-purpose yards in a 48-26 victory over North Surry, the Golden Eagles first win of the season. The 6-foot-1, 230-pounder returned the opening kickoff 86 yards for a score.
Casey Felts The senior split end did most of his damage rushing the ball, as he cut through the Greyhounds defense for 100 yards, including a 69-yard scoring romp.
Jonathan Brown The junior wideout made a leaping grab to haul in a 22-yard scoring pass.
Joston Phipps Phipps scored on runs of 30 and 38 yards as a running back in the first half against Surry Central. When Tanner Hiatt had to leave the game, Phipps filled in behind center and tossed a touchdown pass to Brown.
