Dana Marie Goins and Daniel Robert Clukey were united in marriage on Sept. 20, 2008, at Rosa Lee Manor, Pilot Mountain. Bill Phipps of Trinity Fellowship Church performed the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of David and Shirley Goins of Mount Airy. She is a 2001 graduate of East Surry High School and a 2005 graduate of UNC-Charlotte with a B.S. degree in geography. She earned a masters degree in 2008 and is an urban and regional analysis planner for the town of Mint Hill.
The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Susan Clukey of Mebane. He graduated from Concord High School in 1997 and N.C. State University in 2001 with a B.S. degree in business management. He is a pricing analyst for Daimler Trucks of North America.
The wedding music was presented by Perfect Harmony, a string ensemble.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a stunning white gown overlaid with beaded vintage lace by Eden. The fitted sweetheart bodice featured a dropped waist and a soft A-line skirt with four tiers of scalloped eyelash lace. Covered buttons accented the low back of the bodice as the overlay flowed into a chapel train. A diamond white waterfall veil with clear bugle beads by Jet Taylor completed the brides romantic elegant look. She carried a bouquet of peach roses with stephanotis.
Debbie, Deanna and Donna Goins, sisters of the bride, were the maids of honor. They wore tea-length gowns of tropic blue taffeta with tulle overlay and carried bouquets of peach roses with gerbera daisies.
The bridesmaids were Amanda Cox Killion of King and Natosha Noga of Madison.
Olivia Clukey, niece of the bridegroom, was the flower girl. Hunter Smith, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.
Steven Lewis of Raleigh served the bridegroom as best man. The groomsmen were Brian Smith of Raleigh; Jason Clukey of Madison; Nate Ziegler, Joe Crisco and Louis Kemp, all of Charlotte; Jerame Jones of Raleigh; Dan Moore of Cary; and Justin Yost of Farmingdale, N.J.
Cathy Moore and Deborah Goins, aunts, presided at the gift table. April Simpson was the guest book attendant, and Katie Simpson distributed the wedding programs.
Crystal Folger-Hawks was the wedding director.
A reception followed at Rosa Lee Manor with Lorenes Bakery providing the wedding cake and catering the celebration.
The bridal couple spent their honeymoon in Asheville, followed by a trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, in November.
They reside in Charlotte.
The rehearsal dinner was held in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in Pilot Mountain with Aunt Beas catering the party. Sue Clukey made the grooms cake.
Showers were hosted in Raleigh, Charlotte and Mount Airy by friends and family.
The bride hosted a dinner in Charlotte for the bridesmaids, followed by dessert at the Melting Pot.
