Mary Beth Cave and Jerry Lee Burcham Jr. were united in marriage at Fellowship Baptist Church in Ararat

Mary Beth Cave and Jerry Lee Burcham Jr. were married Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, Ararat. Dr. Victor Lyons and the Rev. Wesley Boles Sr. performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Sheila Cave of Dobson. Her grandparents are Charles and Beth Norman of Elkin and the late Odis and Mary Cave. She graduated from Surry Central High School in 2006 and Surry Community College in 2009 with an associates degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Hugh Chatham Hospital in Elkin and Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem.
The bridegroom is the son of Jerry Lee Burcham Sr. of North Wilkesboro and Tammy Burcham of Clemmons. His grandparents are Mozelle Childress and the late Jack Childress and the late Buddy and Ozelle Burcham. He graduated from Surry Central High School in 2002 and is employed by the North Carolina Department of Transportation in Davie County.
The church was decorated with fall flower arrangements made by the bride and her cousin Marlana Jarrell. Mums of various fall colors complimented the dcor. During the wedding, the bride and groom signed a family Bible.
Lindsey Johnson was the vocalist. Stephanie Welch played The Bridal Chorus for the brides processional.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a beautiful strapless gown of candlelight silky taffeta. The gowns bodice with a lovely V-back was adorned in silver bugle beads and crystals which flowed into the pick-up skirt and cathedral train. The skirt and train were embellished with medallions matching the beading on the bodice. The brides matching headpiece, with a two-tiered ivory veil of soft illusion, was edged in crystals and beads. Latte satin slippers complimented her gown. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of various fall flowers.
Danielle Cave of Mount Airy, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Marlana Jarrell of Mount Airy, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Vanessa Allen of Mount Airy; Anna Burton, cousin of the bride, of Raleigh; Kim Burton, cousin of the bride, of Elkin; Elizabeth Sampson of Virginia Beach, Va.; Kristen Scott of Yadkinville; Sasha Sprinkle of Mount Airy; Kayla Stanley of Boonville; and Kayla Watson of Dobson.
The bridesmaids wore dark chocolate silky taffeta strapless tea-length gowns with latte sashes. The bride chose bronze jeweled shoes and jewelry to compliment the gowns. They carried hand-tied bouquets of orange tiger lilies.
The junior bridesmaids were Kayla Burton, cousin of the bride, of Raleigh and Kelsey Cave, cousin of the bride, of Mount Airy. They wore floor-length dark chocolate silky taffeta dresses and carried a hand-tied bouquet of fall flowers.
The honorary bridesmaids were Emily Addington of Siloam; Crystal Hyatt of Yadkinville; and Kelly Shelton of Dobson.
Emma Burton, cousin of the bride, of Elkin and Westyn McCraw of Mount Airy were the flower girls. They wore matching persimmon silky taffeta dresses. They carried brown tin buckets with fall leaves to drop along the way.
Guest register and program attendants were Lheanne Daniels and Whitney Sprinkle, both of Dobson. The wedding was directed by Marlana Jarrell and Debbie Cave. Jarrod Cave and Greyson Cox lit the candles in the church in memory of the grandparents who were no longer with them.
Wyatt Burton of Elkin and Logan Jarrell of Mount Airy, cousins of the bride, were the ring bearers. Wyatt pulled Logan down the aisle in a wagon decorated with brown and cream satin with a fall wreath tied on the back.
Jerry Lee Burcham Sr. served his son as best man. The groomsmen were Jarrod Cave, brother of the bride, of Dobson; Ethan Cave, cousin of the bride, of Elkin; Greyson Cox of State Road; Josh Addington, Brian Gammons, Ben Venable and Josh Watson, all of Siloam, Shane Hall of Pilot Mountain; and Ryan Swaim of Lake Norman.
A reception followed at Old Pine Hill Friends Community Building with the brides family hosting the occasion. The meal of grilled chicken, hamburger steak, baked potato bar, green beans and rolls was catered by Chad Hooker. The wedding cake was prepared by Lorenes Bakery. Assisting with serving was Bronwyn Belcher, Judy Burton, Debbie Cave, Susan Dockery, Opie McKeaver, April Morgan and Janet Spicer.
Entertainment was provided by Marcus Draughn.
A barbecue dinner was hosted and prepared by family and friends on Friday evening for the wedding party and out-of-town guests.
The bride was also entertained with a bridal luncheon on Friday by the bridesmaids at Elliotts on Main in Mount Airy.
The bridal couple spent their honeymoon in Charleston, S.C.
They reside at 500 Old County Home Road, Dobson.
