MAYODAN Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Hauser Yarbrough McGee, 82, of 34C Ridgemont Place, Mayodan, and formerly of Mount Airy, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Hospice Home of Wentworth. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Skyline Memory Gardens in Mount Airy with the Rev. Dean Eaton officiating. Mrs. McGee was born on Aug. 4, l926, in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late George Washington Hauser Sr. and the late Betty Holston Hauser. She was retired from P.H. Hanes Knitting with over 45 years of service, was employed with Second Hand Treasures in Mayodan, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gernie Yarbrough Sr.; and her second husband, Hurley N. McGee. She is survived by her sons, Gernie C. Yarbrough Jr., Tommy Lee Yarbrough and wife Joanne and Johnny Dean Yarbrough and wife Carole, all of Mount Airy, and Jack J. Yarbrough of Mayodan; sisters, Edith Jones and Margaret H. Edmonds and husband William, all of Mount Airy, and Ruby H. Hodges and husband Eugene of Yadkinville; brother, George Hauser Jr. and wife Mae of Mount Airy; three grandchildren, David Eugene Yarbrough and wife Kristie, John Christopher Yarbrough and Zachery D.V. Yarbrough; and one great-grandchild, Tyler Clayton Yarbrough. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the funeral home and all other times at the home of Jack Yarbrough, 304 N. 2nd Ave., Mayodan. The family would like to extend appreciation to Hospice of Rockingham County for their loving care and support. Ray Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
