PILOT MOUNTAIN Mrs. Eugenia Martin Jessup, 75, of 613 W. Hwy 52 ByPass, Pilot Mountain, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at her home. She was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Stokes County to the late Paul and Vergie Jackson Martin. Mrs. Jessup was a retired seamstress at Amos and Smith Hosiery and a lifelong member of Brown Mountain Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Clarence Jessup of the home; son, Rickey Jessup of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and husband Ray Alberty of Dobson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sammy and wife Janet Martin of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Lanny and wife Shirley Martin of Westfield; and sister-in-law, Elene Martin of Georgia. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jessup was preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Riddle; and brothers, Caleb and Wade Martin. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Howell-Nelson Funeral Chapel of Pilot Mountain conducted by the Rev. Eddie Carter with interment to follow at Brown Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, from 10 a.m. until time of the service at Howell-Nelson Funeral Service of Pilot Mountain.
