MOUNT AIRY Mrs. Harriet Hamelinck Wemesfelder, 93, of 618 Knollwood Drive, Mount Airy, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at her home. She was born Oct. 25, 1915, in Wayne County, N.Y., to the late Jacob and Louisa Martens Hamelinck. Mrs. Wemesfelder was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Quinn of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Colleen Pahng, Daniel Marvin, David Marvin, Jacqueline Evans, Kermit Jones III, Katharine Benton and Vicky Jacobsen; 10 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Ellen Beck of New York and Judy Aceto of New York; stepsons, William Wemesfelder of Florida and John Wemesfelder of South Carolina; several stepgrandchildren; and sister, Erma Glenna of Lyons, N.Y. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wemesfelder was preceded in death by her first husband, Kermit Jones Sr.; second husband, William Wemesfelder; son, Kermit Jones Jr.; two infant children; sister, Regina Hutchinson; and brothers, Hector and Gus Hamelinck. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church Duncan Center conducted by Father Eric Kowalski. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030; Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1208 N.
