Golfers needed

PILOT MOUNTAIN Golfers are in demand for a charity event to benefit Childrens Miracle Network.
The charity golf tournament is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. June 10 at Pilot Knob Park Country Club. The cost is $50 per player and $200 for Captains Choice teams. Fees include cart and green fees, as well as a goody bag. All proceeds benefit the Duke Childrens Hospital through the Childrens Miracle Network.
The event will be sponsored by the Mount Airy Wal-Mart. That store raises the most money of any Wal-Mart in the Triad for the Childrens Miracle Network. Last year it turned in over $65,000. John Lichvar, a Wal-Mart employee and member of the Caring Hands committee, said 10 golf teams have signed up, but more are needed.
We have a good turnout, usually, but this time were way short, Lichvar said. We need golfers to sign up. Everyone has a good time and its for a great cause.
Interested parties can call 719-2300, ext. 132.
