TOBACCOVILLE Elaine DeHart McCoy, 54, of Tobaccoville was suddenly called home on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at WFUBMC. Elaine was born in Hood River, Oregon on Aug. 5, 1955, to the late Floyd and Jettie Watkins DeHart. Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister. She was of the Baptist faith. Elaine is survived by her loving husband of 16 years; George McCoy; one son, Michael Thomas Parks of the home, one daughter, Michelle Elaine Parks of King; one brother, Benny and Teresa DeHart of Trap Hill; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys DeHart Edwards of Tobaccoville, Anita DeHart Myers of Elkin, Eva and Shelby DeHart Noble of Tobaccoville and Linda and Rickey DeHart Logan of Pinnacle; three grandchildren, Isaiah, Eli and Cheyenne; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Neal DeHart and granddaughter, Shelby Elizabeth Parks. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Cox-Needham Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Marr officiating with interment to follow in the DeHart Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and other times at the DeHart home place on Spainhour Mill Road. Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
