The Surry County Sheriffs Office has reported these arrests:
– David Lee Smith, 35, of 169 Timmons Lane, Mount Airy, was arrested on June 27 and charged with assault on a female. No bond was set.
– Otis William Root, 48, of 332 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, was arrested on June 28 and charged with injury to real property. A $1,000 secured bond was set.
– Kenna David Gillispie, 27, of 1346 U.S. 21, State Road, was arrested on June 28 and charged with failure to appear for a no seat belt violation. Bond was listed at $200.
– Joseph Dean Harris, 42, of 914 Willow St., Mount Airy, was arrested on June 29 and charged with unauthorized use. He was released on a written promise.
– Davey Lee Reynolds, 45, of 3337 Shoals Road, Pinnacle, was arrested on June 29 and charged with failure to appear. A $10,000 secured bond was issued.
– Robin Lynn Snow, 39, of 223 Lisa Lane, Mount Airy, was arrested on June 29, and charged with felony fleeing from justice. A $10,000 secured bond was set.
– Shawn Christopher Wilder, 29, of 133 Valley Green Trail, Pinnacle, was arrested on June 29 and charged with communicating threats. No bond was issued. He was confined to the Surry County Jail.
– Richard Dale Guynn, 38, of 2879 Pedigo Ridge Road, Claudville, Va., was arrested on June 29 was arrested on June 29 and was charged with brandishing a firearm. A $10,000 secured bond.
– Barbara Gonzales Otero, 40, of 57 Oak Forrest Drive, Cana, Va., was arrested on July 1 and charged with flee/elude arrest. He was placed in the Surry County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
– Michael David Willard, 43, of 342 Goins Road, Mount Airy, was arrested on July 1 and charged with failure to appear. A $7,083 cash bond was issued.
– Travis Lee Burnette, 33, of 270 Russell Road, Mount Airy, was arrested on July 3 and charged with failure to appear for a child support hearing. A $533.87 cash bond was issued.
– Christopher Mark Johnson, 37, of 1109 Ambrose Circle Road, State Road, was arrested on July 3 and charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony possession of stolen property and injury to real property. He was held at the Surry County Detention Center under at $5,000 secured bond.
– Thomas Lavarick Clark, 17, of 334 Country Side Court, Winston-Salem, was arrested on July 4 and charged with simple assault. A $1,000 secured bond was issued.
– Donald Elvin Bocook, 28, of 144 Hill and Dale Lane, Statesville, was arrested on July 7 and charged with failure to appear for a driving while license revoked charge and failure to wear a seat belt. A $500 secured bond was set.
– Oliver Coleman King, 25, of 218 Eleanor Ave., Mount Airy, was arrested on July 7 and charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon. A $25,000 unsecured bond was issued.
– Herbert Watkins Newman, 33, of 198 Joe Reed Trail, Mount Airy, was arrested on July 7 and charged with failure to appear. A $1,000 secured bond was issued.
– Michael Yules Moncus, 52, of 121 Champion Lane, Mount Airy, was arrested on July 6 and charged with failure to appear for driving while impaired and failure to appear for driving while license revoked. A $10,000 secured bond was set.
– Abigail Denise Brown, 47, of 286 Raleigh Hawks Road, was arrested on July 7 and charged with failure to appear. A $1,000 secured bond was set.
– Michael Davis Gwyn, 47, of 3190 Park Drive, Mount Airy, was arrested on July 7 and charged with assault on a female and communicating threats. No bond was set. He was placed in the custody of the court bailiff.
– James Henry Peele Jr., 42, of 342 Maple Drive, Mount Airy, was arrested on July 7 and charged with failure to comply. No bond was set.
– Dusty Ryan Hill, 20, of 151 Sugar Pine Trail, Mount Airy, was arrested on July 8 and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. A $126 cash bond was issued.
– James Lewis Nunn Jr., 32, of 145 Mount Royal Lane, Dobson, was arrested on July 8 and charged with two orders for arrest. A $9,431 secured bond was set.
– John Michael Sizemore, 24, of 215 Hamburg St., Mount Airy, was arrested on July 9 and charged with failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia. A $5,000 secured bond was set.
