DOBSON The North Carolina Cooperative Extension will host a class on Introduction to Home Food Preservation Tuesday.
Two classes will be offered. Participants can choose from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the center in Dobson.
Those taking the course will learn more about preserving fresh foods for future use as well as the latest information and different methods of safe food preservation through discussions and demonstrations.

Also, the center will be testing dial gauge canner lids for accuracy. Those unable to attend on Tuesday to have lids checked call can for an appointment.
