WESTFIELD Mrs. Clara Belle George Rogers, 93, of 1910 Asbury Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Universal Health Care of King. She was born Dec. 16, 1915, in Stokes County to the late William Sanders and Mary Elizabeth Flippen George. Mrs. Rogers was retired from Spencers and a member of Asbury Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Vernice and husband Osley Johnson of Pilot Mountain, Linda and husband Don Teague of Thomasville and Bonnie and husband James Jessup of Westfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and wife Marie Rogers of Lawsonville, Ronnie and wife Mildred Rogers of Pilot Mountain and the Rev. Rickey and wife Kathy Rogers of Westfield; sisters and brother-in-law, Rachel Martin of Westfield and Ruth and husband Burke Eastep of King; brother, Julius George of Danbury; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Carl Rogers; sons, Vernon Rogers and Leon Rogers; brother, Lloyd George; and granddaughters, Robin Rogers and Stephanie Rogers. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Asbury Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Rickey Rogers, the Rev. Terry Collins and Mrs. Patsy Morrison with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Howell-Nelson Funeral Service of Pilot Mountain. Mrs. Rogers will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Asbury Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 1084 Flippin Road, Mount Airy, N.C. 27030 or to Hospice of Stokes County, P.O.
