MOUNT AIRY Mr. Jimmie Quesinberry, 69, of Mount Airy, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family Friday, Dec. 26, 2008. Mr. Quesinberry was born in Surry County on Oct. 4, 1939, to the late Lawrence Andrew and Rosie Belle Richardson Quesinberry. Mr. Quesinberry served in the U.S. Army and was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharlene Shockley Quesinberry of the home; a daughter, Karen Dollyhigh of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Jimmie Quesinberry Jr. and wife Alisa of Marshville; a foster son, Barry Shinault of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Hannah Dollyhigh, Logan Quesinberry, Allyson Quesinberry, Ryan Quesinberry and Anna Li Quesinberry; and a brother, Rossie Ray Quesinberry of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Quesinberry was preceded in death by a sister, Flossie Vipperman. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Wallace Cole. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
