The Mount Airy girls registered a sweeping win over North Surry on the Hounds court, winning all matches in singles and doubles.

Mount Airy Head Coach Scott Kniskern said the win was a dominant one. He said he had a chance to mix things around, Hayley Thomas at number two was out sick and the girls stepped up.

He said Mount Airy has a lot of depth on the bench and it is a good feeling to have.

Hound Coach Maggie McKee said her team is young but coachable and that is what she is looking for.

The Hounds will continue to work on footwork especially, said McKee.

At number one, Davi Barbour won over Sarah Glasco 6-0, 6-0. Bree Hughes over Abby Lawson 6-0, 6-1; Jai Daniels over Bailey Atkins 6-0, 6-0; Carley Vanhoy over Rebecca Parsons 6-0, 6-0; Bailey Jackson over Hannah Southern 6-0, 6-1; and Abby Hagwood over Brooklyn Jeremiah 6-0, 6-0.
