ORLANDO, FLA. — A local high school student will be among those performing at the Capital One Bowl Halftime Show on Jan. 1.
Officials from the Capital One Bowl Halftime Show have named Salem Poindexter to the official halftime performance cast. Poindexter will represent Surry Central High School cheer leading.
An official release from ESP Production of Orlando, indicated the producers take special pride in their national performer recruiting efforts and “field a top notch performance cast.” The Jan. 1 extravaganza was set to broadcast nationally on ESPN-TV and will feature a student pageantry presentation.
Show designers characterized the production as a “once in a lifetime performance experience for talented students hailing from coast to coast.”
“Only the nation’s top students who meet stringent cast selection criteria qualify to receive this New Year’s Day opportunity. It is by no means an open call production,” said Executive Producer Bruce Hart.r information.
