ARARAT, Va. — Mr. Charles Lee Mabe, 36, of Ararat, passed away at his home Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012. He was born in Surry County on Aug. 24, 1975, to Yvonne Smith Mabe and the late Rayford Randolph Mabe. In addition to his mother, Mr. Mabe is survived by a sister, Tammy Mabe of Ararat; a brother and sister-in-law, Danny Ray and Teresa Mabe of Mount Airy; a nephew, Cody Sawyers; and nieces, Gwendolyn Sawyers and Marissa Mabe. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Willis Gap Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. until the time to leave for the service. There will not be any formal visitation at the funeral home.
