To Ray Floyd, the gentlemen who took in three stray dogs on Nov. 1 after animal control officials rescued the puppies from an outcropping of rocks in a nearby river. Taking on these animals have meant extra work and expense, and he’s hoping someone will take on the animals who can offer them a full-time home.

To the Horne Creek Living Historical Farm, the Edwards-Franklin House and similar organizations who are allowing local residents a chance to see what the Christmas season might have been like 100 or more years ago. Seeing our past, even during the holiday times, give us a chance to learn, grow and better understand our present. And it’s a lot of fun to attend these events, too.
