PILOT MOUNTAIN — East Surry soccer fell to Central Davidson 9-0 Thursday night.

The Lady Cardinals were missing three starters to injuries, noted Coach John Sigmon.

Central Davidson, a 2A school, is 5-0-1 on the season and took control with a 5-0 lead in the first half.

The Cards fell to 1-2 on the season.

Sigmon said that Panayiota Boutis and Maria Marez both played well in defeat. Both girls shifted back and forth between midfield and forward.

East Surry next hosts East Wilkes Monday.
