The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has reported the following arrests:

• On Feb. 28, Sean Christopher Creed, 24, of S. Flagler Ave., in Flagler Beach, Fla., was arrested and charged with the possession of stolen property, larceny and resisting a public officer. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $1,050 secured bond.

• On March 4, William Thomas Butcher, 22, of Fox Run Lane in Pilot Mountain, was arrested and charged with one count of breaking and entering, one count of larceny and one count of the possession of stolen goods. He was released from the Surry County Jail with a written promise to appear in court.

• On March 4, Felix Ortiz-Otero, 34, of East Atkins Street in Dobson, was arrested and charged with the failure to register as a sex offender. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

• On March 4, Teofila Niana Ruiz, 19, of West Crosswinds Court in Mount Airy, was arrested and charged with one count each of forgery, attempted uttering and violating probation. She was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond.

• On March 4, Ronald Dean Wood, 40, of Happy Lane in Dobson, was arrested and charged with one count of obtaining property under false pretenses. He was released from the Surry County Jail under a written promise to appear in court.

• On March 6, Barry James Anderson, 41, of Ariches Creek Road in Claudville, Va., was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice in Patrick County, Va. He was booked into the Surry County Jail under a $75,000 secured bond.
