To the Editor,

Sept. 11, a sad day today.

I got up and turned on the TV and all that was on the major networks was 9/11. They kept showing the planes that hit the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. They showed pictures of the Pentagon, the plane that went down in Shanksville, Penn.

I listened to the names being read of the victims of those terrible tragedies. The names of fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, children, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends that were killed in the name of a certain religion were read. I didn’t know any of these people, but my eyes filled with tears until they dripped off my face. I am sure that some were not of my religion, Christian, and some were not even citizens of this country.

That didn’t matter to me. They were human and they did not deserve to die and leave behind all those of their loved ones who will never get over missing them. Yes, I cried. Then I started thinking why didn’t any of the networks show how much the Muslim world cried.

That is because they didn’t cry. I remember the next day after 9/11, they showed the Muslim world celebrating in the streets of what had happened in the USA. They were laughing, cheering and firing their guns into the air, and thanking their god to what happened to us. Oh, how soon we forget.

Did you know that we have given lots of money to these people? Did you know we did not stop giving money to these people? I even bet we increased our giving to these animals. It makes me sick knowing that we are still giving billons of our hard earned money to them. I look around where I live and see Americans that need help but they don’t get it because they don’t meet certain standards or there is no money for them in these hard times.

Wake up Americans! I think we need to stop giving away our money; we never get it back, especially to people who hate and want to kill us. I believe Americans should be first in line for our own aid and if there is any left over then help the ones who are for us, not against us. I wish they would have shown what the other Middle Eastern countries were doing on 9/11 and 9/12. I guarantee, they would have been celebrating, not crying.
