Located in Plymouth, Massachusetts and completed on Aug. 1, 1889, is this 81-foot tall monument. Faith, the tallest figure, faces toward England — her right hand points to heaven and her left hand holds the Bible. The forefathers monument is the largest solid granite monument in the United States.

Over the years (since 1982), Mary Jo’s After School Children have taken many educational trips. Among these trips have been ones to Washington, D.C., New York City, Philadelphia, Canada and this year Hyannis, Massachusetts.

After each adventure, the kids always say, “Where will we go next” and Mary Jo Simpson answers “Only time will tell.”

Mary Jo’s Kids After School Program would like to thank Denese Chappell for being their tour guide this year, as well as many sponsors who made this trip possible.
