Murder, mystery, romance, memories and general mayhem will be the order of the day at Memories on Main Antiques store in downtown Mount Airy on June 28.

The free event, which is one of several scheduled at the store, will be held from 10-5 p.m. Refreshments will be available as well.

Authors present at the event will be Mount Airy’s own mystery writer, Jane Tesh, suspense/thriller novelist Sheri Haymore, historical adventure and children’s author Laura S. Wharton, personal memoir author Sherry Creech, and contemporary romance novelist Mary Flinn of Summerfield.

“I’m looking forward to having these incredibly talented authors in my store,” said Rose Ayers, owner of Memories on Main Antiques.

Tesh is the author of six books. Her latest tale is titled Now You See It, the third in her ‘Grace Street Mystery’ series. Haymore has two suspense novels to her credit. Her newest title is A Deeper Cut. Wharton’s new mystery for children titled, The Mermaid’s Tale, was co-written with her son, Will, and is the second in their popular ‘Mystery at the Lake House’ series. Her historical sea adventure novels for adults and other children’s works also will be available.

Creech will be signing her book, Perseverance: Inspiration for a Strong Heart, a compilation of personal devotionals, problem solving analogies and life lessons learned. Flinn is the author of five contemporary novels. Her latest award-winning book, The Nest, is a departure from her soft family romance series of four books, and shows Flinn’s humorous side.
