NORTH WILKESBORO — Sales totaled 232 head, including cattle (232), during Wednesday’s sales at Wilkes Livestock Exchange.


Animals sold on the livestock market, based on 100-pound weights, were:


• Calves by the head: $15-$70.


• Cows: 700-795 pounds, $79-$103; 800-895 pounds, $71.50-$78; 900-995 pounds, $44-$86; 1,000-1,095 pounds, $71.50-$89.50; 1,100-1,195 pounds, $86.50-$87; 1,200-1,295 pounds, $75.50-$90; 1,300-1,395 pounds, $85-$88.50; 1,400-1,495 pounds, $87; 1,500-1,595 pounds, $86.50.


• Steers: 300-395 pounds, $110-$164; 400-495 pounds, $100-$169; 500-595 pounds, $57-$145; 600-695 pounds, $79-$137; 700-795 pounds, $74-$130; 800-895 pounds, $81-$83.50; 900-995 pounds, $83.
