ARARAT, VA — Mrs. Phyllis Vipperman Clement, 77 of Ararat, VA passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson on Saturday, November 30, 2013. Mrs. Clement was born February 16, 1936 in Stokes County to the late Arlis Wendell and Pauline Cook Vipperman. She attended Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA, and loved her work as a Home Health Care Aid. Mrs. Clement was a member of Mount Ararat Pentecostal Holiness Church, but called Bethel Presbyterian Church her home church for many years. Mrs. Clement was a loving, virtuous woman, always putting the welfare of others before her own as long as her health permitted. Left to cherish her precious memory are her son and daughter-in-law Rev. Barry and Tammy Clement of Mount Airy, a granddaughter Beth Clement Meadows and her husband Benji of Mount Airy, a brand new great granddaughter Emma Kate Meadows, two sisters and brother-in-law Judy and Rayford Gammons and Ruth Carol Vipperman and by two brothers and sister-in-law Kelly and Becky Vipperman and Teddy Vipperman. Funeral services will be held Monday December 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with services conducted by Rev. Mark George and Rev. Buford Jessup with burial to follow in the Clement Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night 6 to 8 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, NC.
