North Surry expects to play North Wilkes with a good plan on both sides of the football.

Greyhounds Head Coach Danny Lyons said North Wilkes is a good offense team, they run no huddle and have 250 yard passing. They also put up large numbers in rushing.

Lyons expects to improve on last week’s effort against Mount Airy, he said.

“We want ball control on offense. We rushed 250 against Mount Airy, had good balance and threw for 160. “

Hounds special teams punter Tanner Hodgin averaged 40 yards a punt, but kick off coverage must be better than against Mount Airy, he said.

The Bears are trying to get better everywhere after the heartbreaker against the Bears, he said.

Lyons said North Wilkes are athletic on line of scrimmage but so are the Hounds.

That is the difference in any game, he said.
