Lauren Alice Chamblin of Westfield and Jared Blake Simpson of Ararat exchanged vows at 2 p.m. on June 7 at Greystone Park in Pinnacle. The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Lee Johnson with the Rev. Ron Chamblin, the bride’s father, and the Rev. Ronnie Chamblin, the bride’s grandfather, saying a special prayer.


The bride’s parents are the Rev. Ron and Lora Chamblin. Her grandparents are the Rev. Ronnie and Kay Chamblin, and Bobby and Margaret Wall. The bride graduated from East Surry High School in 2009 and Appalachian State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and a magna cum laude honor graduate.


The groom’s parents are Andy and Ann Simpson. His grandparents are Ruth Taylor and the late Earl Taylor. The groom graduated from Surry Central High School in 2006 and was an honor graduate at Surry Community College, earning an associate’s degree in arts in 2008. He also earned a bachelor’s in building sciences and construction management in 2010 from Appalachian State University.


The bride was given in marriage by her father, the Rev. Ron Chamblin.


The bride arrived at the wedding in a vintage 1957 Chevrolet owned and driven by Mike Atkins.


The maids of honor were Leah Chamblin and Lindsay Chamblin, sisters of the bride, both of Westfield. The bridesmaids were Lindsey Conrad of Pilot Mountain and Ashley Gonzales of Gastonia.


The flower girls were Madison Whittington and Olivia Whittington, both of Ararat. The ring bearers were Mack Taylor, a cousin of the groom, of Raleigh and Britton Quesinberry of Ararat.


The best man was Andy Simpson, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Brandon Smith of Pilot Mountain, Robby Horton of Mount Airy, and William Sisk, a cousin of the bride, of Westfield.


The wedding was directed by Misty Quesinberry of Ararat.


Special music was provided by Billy and Frankie Smith of Pilot Mountain.


The reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held following the ceremony at Greystone Park.


The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents and was held on June 6 at Pinnacle View Baptist Church’s fellowship hall.


Following a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Westfield.
