Friday

n The Franklin Ruritan Club will be hosting a spring pancake supper with buckwheats and sausage gravy from 4:30 to 7:30 a.m. Adults are $5, children 5 to 12 are $3 and children under 5 are free. Proceeds will go towards community projects.

n The Round Peak Lodge will be having a pancake supper in the Masonic cafeteria from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 and ages 6 and under are free. Carry-outs are available.

n The Surry County Senior Center monthly dance will be with Don Jarrell and The Country Magic from 7 to 10 p.m. n the conference room. Admission is $4.

n The Dobson Rescue Squad will be hosting a Rookie tournament at 7 p.m. at the rescue squad located at 601 and Rockford Road.

Saturday

n The Copeland Masonic Lodge will be hosting a port-a-pit chicken from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Plates are $8 and carry-outs are available. Proceeds go to the Masonic Home for Children and Masonic Eastern Star Home.
