n A Special Education Advisory Committee for Carroll County Public Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the school board conference room on the third floor at the Carroll County Governmental Complex, Hillsville, Va. This meeting is for reviewing the Special Education Annual Plan for 2009-2010. The public is invited for comments.

Wednesday

n The Surry County 4-H has planned activities and classes for all ages. Most classes will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants will be required to pay a $10 registration fee which includes a Summer Explosion T-shirt. Registration will be from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Extension Center in Dobson. Registration will continue until all classes are filled.
