PILOT MOUNTAIN — The Northwest 1A/2A Conference Finals swim meet are scheduled to be held today at the Armfield Civic Center and will start at noon.
Due to the public school closings and weather conditions on Friday, the boys and girls will now swim in a combined conference finals meet. The boys previously were scheduled to have their meet Friday.
Conference awards will be given throughout the day with a final presentation to winners at the end.
East Surry head swim coach Leah Tunstall said in order to meet school requirements, the conference meet will finish by 5 p.m.
Teams competing are East Surry, Bishop McGuinness, Mount Airy, South Stokes, Winston-Salem Prep, North Surry, Surry Central and West Stokes.
