Casey Lee Davis and Benjamin Lee Puckett were married Sept. 15 at Stony Knoll Vineyards. Tony Holder performed the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Gaye Davis, 335 John Davis Road, Dobson. Her grandparents are Arlene Davis and the late Robert Davis and Kathleen Collins and the late Joe Bill Collins. She is an honors graduate of Surry Central High School in 2005 and a Vocational and National Honors Society member. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. degree in family and consumer sciences and secondary education. An honors graduate and dean’s list student, she works at Surry Central High School and coaches softball there.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Kaye Puckett, 326 Puckett Farm Trail, Mount Airy. His grandparents are the late Rufus and Lillian Holt and Polly Puckett. He graduated from North Surry High School in 2006 and worked for the Mount Airy Fire Department from 2007 until 2009. He is a self-employed farmer and an active member of the Pine Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.
Mike Wise played the guitar while guests were being seated, and Keith Moser played the keyboard for the processional.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory floor-length gown of silky satin overlaid with re-embroidered Alencon lace. The lace was accented with crystals, sequins and bugle beads.The sweetheart neckline featured an eyelash fringe and a beautiful beaded band at the empire waistline. Her graceful headpiece was made of organza and Alencon lace flowers. It was enhanced with feathers, rhinestones, swirls and crystal sprays. She carried a European nosegay of antique green hydrangea with green cymbidium orchids and lavender roses.
Dixie Draughn of Mount Airy, cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor. She wore a knee-length chiffon dress chocolate in color with a sweetheart halter neckline and carried a green hydrangea and four lavender roses.
The bridesmaids were Brandi Draughn of Mount Airy, cousin of the bride; Audra Puckett, Tenielle Jerrell and Kaela Hodges, all of Mount Airy; and Maggie Puckett, sister-in law, from Siloam. Their dresses and flowers were identical to that worn by the honor attendant.
The flower girls were Westyn McCraw and Emerson Puckett. The ring bearers were Haston Puckett, nephew of the bridegroom, and Briley Puckett, stepson of the bride and son of the bridegroom.
David Puckett served his son as best man. The ushers were Jon Puckett of Siloam, brother of the bridegroom; Richard Sowers of Cana, Va.; Jeremy Johnson and Josh Jerrell, both of Mount Airy; and Joseph Davis of Dobson, brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Aaron Moser of Dobson was the groomsman.
Makayla Draughn presided at the guest register and Deaven Davis distributed wedding programs. Mandy Holt and Tonya Wise were wedding directors. Jennifer Draughn was the photographer.
A reception followed at the vineyard with the bride’s parents as hosts.
The bridegroom’s parents hosted the rehearsal celebration on Sept. 14 at The Depot in Dobson.
The bridal couple will spend their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic in December.
