Surry County residents came out en force Saturday to get a little exercise for a good cause during the Griggs Hampton Memorial Fun Run. The event helps raise money for the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Hampton is remembered fondly as Mount Airy’s “hometown hero.”
