CANA, Va. — Mr. Charles Claude Hawks, 71, of Cana, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at his home. Mr. Hawks was born in Surry County on May 20, 1941, to Garley Claude and Dinna Cagle Hawks. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Pike Hawks of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Grant Caulder of Ocean Isle; a son, Charles R. Hawks of the home; a sister, Margie Ramey of Lowgap; a brother, R.C. Hawks of Mount Airy; and his granddogs, Tucker and Spencer. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
