PFAFFTOWN — Mr. Bruce Wayne Hiatt, 58, of Pfafftown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mr. Hiatt was born April 6, 1954, in Surry County to Elizabeth Puckett Hiatt and the late Albert Reid Hiatt Jr. He was employed in retail sales and was a member of Old 52 Church of Christ. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Elizabeth Hiatt Bowman and Tony Bowman of Mount Airy; his godchildren, Victoria and Myles; one sister, Sharon Hiatt of Mount Airy; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Linda Hiatt of Mount Airy, Dennis Hiatt of Columbia, S.C., Steve and Tammy Hiatt of Cedar Creek, Texas, and Mark and Mendy Hiatt of Pilot Mountain; several nieces and nephews; special friends Teresa, Chris and Reid; and his faithful dog, Max. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Minister James Gibbons. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B.
