ARARAT — Ms. Margaret Faye Vipperman Holyfield, 74, of Ararat, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. Ms. Holyfield was born in Stokes County on Dec. 20, 1938, to Arlis Wendell and Pauline Cook Vipperman. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to so many. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Fred Caudle of Mount Airy; a son, Lanney Holyfield of the home; grandchildren, Cindy H. Lorish and husband Brian, Adam Holyfield and Jeremy Wilson and girlfriend Amy; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Blake Kornbrust; her ex-husband and very special friend, James Holyfield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Alton Clement, Judy and Raeford Gammons and RuthCarol Vipperman; brothers and a sister-in-law, Kelly and Becky Vipperman and Teddy Vipperman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Ms. Holyfield was preceded in death by a brother, Oza Vipperman; and a nephew, Andy Vipperman. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Asbury Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Barry Clement. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home from noon until the time to depart for the cemetery.
