Ms. Mary Lou Jones Hiatt Age 77 of 1585 Old Hwy 601 Mount Airy passed away Saturday December 1, 2012 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Ms. Hiatt was born July 20, 1935 in Surry County to the late Ernest and Mary Alice Eaton Jones; she was a homemaker and attended Woodland Baptist Church. Surviving is her loving son Greg Hiatt of the home, three sisters Vernell Puckett, Betty Beasley and Margaret Wall all of Mount Airy and two special nephews Jerry Hicks of Mount Airy and Travis Wall of Clemmons. A memorial service will be held Monday December 3, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Woodland Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Jimmy Slate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane Suite 200 Mount Airy, NC. 27030.
