ROANOKE, Va. — Christina Elyzabeth Lindsay was granted her angel wings on Oct. 22, 2012. With Beth’s passing, we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated, although we will miss her every day, especially her winning smile, she will always remain forever in our hearts. Through her teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be her parents. Beth was a graduate of William Byrd High School Class of 2011; and she was attending Burton School of Arts and Technology for Early Childhood Development classes, and was hoping to teach children in a daycare. Beth is survived by her loving parents, William Allen Lindsay and his wife, Lisa, from Mount Airy, and Karen West Childress, her mother, from Vinton; two brothers, Stevan Edward Lindsay from Vinton and Jackson Dale Lindsay of Mount Airy; paternal grandparents, Steve and Lucy Lindsay of Elkin, N.C.; stepgrandparents, Larry and Ruth Martin of Mount Airy; maternal grandparents, Edward and Phyllis West of Daleville and Mary Messer of Bloomfield, Iowa; great-grandfather, John R. Wilkinson of Dayton; uncles, Will Lindsay of Elkin, N.C., Wayne Lindsay and wife Shannon of King, N.C., Keith Lindsay and wife Ashley of Knightdale, N.C., and Steven Messer of Bloomfield, Iowa; aunts, Vicky Whaley and husband Russell of Charleston, Tenn., Amy Hall and husband Brad of Statesville, N.C., Shirley Turner and husband Toby of Bloomfield, Iowa, and Sherry Messer of Bloomfield; best friends, Lisa Wright Jones of Mount Airy and Kena Austin of Radford; and beloved pets, Flicka and Rebel. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Trinity Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Stuart Kelly officiating.
