The Mount Airy Ministerial Association will host its annual community Thanksgiving worship service next Sunday, bringing people of all denominations together in one congregation.

Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church and its pastor, Dr. David Sparks, will serve as hosts for this year’s service, to be held at 6:30 p.m. The church is at 120 Pentecostal Church Road, about one mile past Riverside Building Supply on West Pine Street.

The special multi-denominational Thanksgiving worship service will feature the Rev. Neil Pressley delivering the sermon. Pastors from several other denominations also will take part in the service, which will last about an hour.

A special 30-minute Thanksgiving musical presentation will be provided by the church choir and other musicians at 6 p.m., singing some of the old familiar Thanksgiving hymns and other favorites.

This will be the only community Thanksgiving service sponsored by the ministerial association this year.
