Matt Edwards, executive director of the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History, said this is the first of the museum’s smaller “fun”-raising events for the year.
“We wanted to create some smaller scale, lower-price events to try and get a more diverse audience involved with the museum. We are partnering with the Old North State Winery and I think that makes this event really interesting,” said Edwards. “I think it’s going to be a good event for us.”
This is the third event held jointly with the winery and the museum. A Boo Bash held at Halloween last year was well attended. The New Year’s Eve party was a sell out.
“Everybody is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. We are expecting a good turn-out for this event,” said Edwards.
Music will be provided by Evan Olsen & Dana. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The event is sponsored by B & L Custom Jewelers and Old North State Winery. Ticket proceeds will benefit the museum. There will be wine, green beer and food sales during the event.
For tickets or information, contact the Old North State Winery at 789-9463 or the museum at 786-4478.
