ARARAT — Mr. Efrain Ortiz, 65, of Ararat, passed away at Northern Hospital of Surry County on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. Mr. Ortiz was born in Guerrero, Mexico, on April 13, 1947, to the late Sebastian Ortiz Torres and Ofelia Ortiz Montes De Oca. He is survived by his wife, Maria Patino Delgado; daughters and sons-in-law, Marisol Ortiz Uriostegui and Isaac, Britney Ortiz Rodriguez and Carlos and Daisy Ortiz and Alex Lachino; six grandchildren; two sisters; and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with Father Fidel Melo officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.
