OCALA, Fla. — Dolores D. “Lolo” Pendleton, 94, of Ocala, passed away Nov. 27, 2012, at her home. She was born on Nov. 16, 1918, in Santiago de Cuba, a daughter to the late Abelardo Diaz Ulloa and Francisa Espino Garcia Ulloa. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alexander Pendleton; and a sister, Nelly Diaz. She was of the Catholic faith and loved gardening. Mrs. Pendleton will be dearly missed by sons, Robert M. Pendleton of Ocala, Alen Pendleton of Jacksonville; daughter, Ana Maria Pendleton Underwood of Ocala; grandchildren, David A. Pendleton, Catherine Marie Welsh and Maria Isabel Chambers and husband, Steve; numerous other great and great-great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Pendleton and the Rev. Bill Pilcher officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 10 a.m. until the time to leave for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
